Throwing Beer Tasting Parties

It's no secret that craft beer is on the rise. With each passing year craft beer takes a bigger slice of the pie away from the big boys and their bland beers. Along with this rise comes a huge selection of micro brews to fit any palate. With so many choices as your disposal, why not through a beer tasting party and invite all your beer loving friends?

Rather than just throwing a random smattering of different beers on the table you may want to have a theme for your party. You can choose a specific brewery and then buy all of their different styles. You could also choose a specific type of brew, like porters, and try a plethora of different porters. If you really want to get fancy you could do beer and cheese pairings like many people do with wine.

Everyone has that one friend that consistently states "I just don't like beer". Well I can't blame them, I started off this way too, having only tasted the likes of fizzy yellow watered down mega brews, it took a while to come around to a craft beer way of thinking. I am a firm believer that with brews ranging in flavor from the hoppiest bitter IPA to the sweetest of fruity lambic, there is a brew for every one. A beer tasting party can be ca great way to convert that friend.
